Our story
Pigs first. Then poultry, dairy and beef.
The family has farmed through Emidan since before the company was formed. The piggery came first; poultry and dairy followed in 2018 to spread risk, and the beef feedlot started in 2026.
The piggery comes first
The family's farming through Emidan began with pigs. Live pigs and processed pork products remain one of our product lines.
2018
Poultry and dairy, to spread risk
We added laying hens and a dairy herd alongside the piggery.
2022
Emidan Farms Ltd
The farm was incorporated in Kenya as Emidan Farms Ltd, and is still family-owned.
2026
The beef feedlot
We started a beef feedlot, and beef joined pork, eggs, milk and cheese on our product list.
